Max's House was a community project that begun in November, 2009. "Opportunity in Living" quarterbacked the project with the help of an area church (Littleton Church of Christ) and other interested individuals in the community.

The project was a vision of the Executive Director of OIL, David Hillman and his wife Barbara.  They had a idea to help a very deserving family with many challenging life issues.  One of the families at the Littleton Church of Christ had been tested to the limit.  The wife was a cancer victim and had even recently completed a liver transplant.  The couple's child was struggling with Autism.  There were many financial challenges that they battled.  OIL didn't want their housing to be another challenge.

In the spirit of TV popular show, "Extreme Make-over", OIL led the project of providing a totally remodeled home for the couple.  All total over 50 individuals helped as they took a home in need of major repairs and fashioned it to be a beautiful home come with a completely new kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, basement with new egress windows, new back door, new plumbing, new electrical wiring, new paint and carpet and roof!
